And that’s the highest it’s been in 40 years. I don’t know how true that stat is, but it’s enough for us to take a long look at our lives and rethink them and our priorities. What and why are we so busy with the rest of our day that we can only muster up an hour a day on multiple kids. Is it to endlessly grind away at the never ending debt from things we don’t need? If so, think about that deeply, it’s messed up. We trade time with our kids for work hours so we can afford stuff. Time we will never get back, while we become bored with the things we buy and they eventually rot into devalued items. Time to step up and make a change. We’re setting the example as to how they’ll raise their kids.
